The inventory signed by Wenlian GRIMSLEY dated 1 April 1726

Thomas, the eldest son gave consent that his father's will be admitted. On 3 October 1735 Henry Head was appointed guardian to John GRIMSLEY with William Suttle his security. On 7 May 1736 on the motion of Sherwood GRIMSLEY, Henry Head was appointed his guardian in order to qualify him to bring a suit in ejectment for certain lands in King George County.

In 1721 John GRIMSLEY was security for Lewis Jones

Francis James had a will in 1717 - son Sherwood, daughter Jane and wife Margaret

WILL OF LEWIS JONES - didn't see - find - 1721
Book said he had widow Elizabeth - and left estate to John GRIMSLEY and Samuel Wharton -

Did not see the Will but did see the Inventory in the Will book - said he died Instate in 1726 but it also gave the date of 1 Dec 1721 - administration was granted to widow Elizabeth Jones with Samuel Wharton and John GRIMSLEY her securities. If Jones had a will his widow would have been the executress not the administrator.. Inventory was taken 1721/22 - the widow then married Thomas Bartlett which causeed Samuel Wharton anxiety
