This was identified, sort of. It is a tintype. Written on the back was "Papa Waters Sister." No first name. "Papa" Waters would have been either Simon Peter himself (if one of his kids wrote it) or his father, Parrott D. Waters. To my knowledge, Parrott D. Waters only had one sister, Penelope, who married Henry Canady. She was born 16 Nov 1816 and died 20 Apr 1879. If this is her, it was taken early, because the girl is fairly young. I suspect it might be Simon Peter's half sister, possibly Nancy A., b. 1844 who m. William Arthurs. His only other half sister died young.
